Maintenance Log

All Maintenance I've Done

Every time I touch the car with a wrench, it goes here. Dates, miles, what I did, and pics if I have them. Obviously things like oil changes won't include pics or most likely won't even be included.

I also will note that I am not going to include every little thing on here. But I'll include the jobs that are worth sharing and all jobs that aren't included in general maintenance.

Fuel Pump Assembly @ 104,500 miles

Notes: It all started with a check engine light that came on. I scanned it and it came back as a minor evap leak, simple right? No. Didn't have a smoke machine but many people online said that its most likely just a hose or a bad purge valve. I did a thorough visual check of the hoses and checked for vacuum coming from the purge valve. Everything seemed to be functioning well. At that point, I brought it to my shop because I don't have a smoke machine to test where it's leaking. It turns out that the leak was coming from where the fuel pump assembly seals to the gas tank.

Rear Pads @ 104,000 miles

Notes: Was simple, just like any other brake job install. The only thing to be careful with is to get the proper tool to rotate back the piston (turns to retract back into the caliper). DO NOT PUSH PISTON BACK LIKE A NORMAL CALIPER... YOU WILL BREAK IT.
Also remember to cycle the parking brake 5 times on and off after doing work on the rear brakes to prevent any issues with the parking brake.

Serpentine belt @ 102,000 miles

Notes: Was fairly easy and straight-forward. The only tricky part I remember was getting room and leverage on the tensioner pulley. Other than that it was very simple. I believe I worked through the passenger side wheel-well.

New PCV Valve installed @ 92,000 miles

Notes: Extremely easy install. Literally is held in by one bolt if I remember correctly. I did it in like 45 seconds.

Transmission Fluid Change @ 89,000 miles

Notes: Extremely easy, the drain and fill bolts are easily accessible
